The structural elements of the project structure can be described by the following attributes:
•Name:
Name of the structural element as represented in the project tree. By a click on the button “Name” various translations can be entered.
•Description:
Any explanatory text. Via a click on the button “Long text” various translations can be entered.
•Globally visible: Yes / No
If a structural element is set to “globally visible”, the tab “Attributes” will be visible to all users displaying the information
- Name
- Long text
- Responsible operators.
Structural elements not set to “globally visible” will not be visible to users without the respective authorization. (for example via the tab “Quick administration”)
•Responsible operators:
In the field “Responsible operators” the operator users responsible for this structural element are listed. By a double click on a mail address the window with the respective contact details is opened.
An allocation is carried out via the register “Quick administration”.
•Responsible suppliers:
In the field “Responsible suppliers” the supplier users responsible for this structural element are listed. By a double click on a mail address the window with the respective contact details is opened.

•Distribution list external:
In the field „Distribution list external“ mail addresses can be entered manually. If a special approval has been issued for this project element or any of the subordinated elements, the persons on this list will get an e-mail.
•Standard column for CAD export:
In this field a structural element can be assigned to a data field of the „Daimler-specific fields“. As a rule, this is a column for entering the components’ part and stock numbers in a plant. As a result these plant-specific component data are written into the CAD list of items via the CAD interface.
•Allocation / Order date
Here the order date of the equipment can be entered. In the parts lists entries the status of the devices is displayed in relationship to this date.
•Multiplier for parts lists
This field is only available for equipment and subsystems. If here a value is entered in all parts lists allocated to this structure element the number (total) is multiplied with this value. t.
•CAD assignment / parts list imort allowed: Yes / No:
This setting manages the selection of structural elements for the CAD interfaces. Only elements with an activated contol box can be selected in the CAD systems.
In structural elements "Equipment" the control box "CAD assignment allowed" is always marked - this setting can not be changed. •In structural elements "MFL" the control box "CAD assignment allowed" is always marked - this setting can not be changed. •Request new device allowed:
This setting manages if for this strucure element a request for a new device is allowed. The recipient gets the request depending on his rights of the structure elements.
•Request device approval allowed:
This setting manages if for this strucure element a request for a MFL approval / special approval is allowed. The recipient gets the request depending on his rights of the structure elements.
