Reports article parts list

The EPLAN Electric P8 report “Parts list” obtains the device data it needs from the material data manager. Prior to the start of the parts list the project articles are synchronized with the material data manager. Therefore it is necessary that a connection to the material data manager is existing or can be established for the time this report is running.

By the menue "Utility programs - MDM - generate parts list" or by the MDM icon "Vescon MDM - generate parts list"  the dialogue will start. If the material data manager is not open when the report is started, it will be opened automatically, if possible, at the start of the report and a login prompt will appear.

When the report is started the following actions were also started automatically:
-        still linked articles were matched by the entries (depending from the configuration).

-        The in EPLAN defined report forms are activated (not only article parts lists)

-        The complete parts list is loaded up in the MDM (also not matched articles).

-        The EPLAN project is loaded up in the MDM as a PDF file.

The parts list obtains its contents from the "General attributes" and the “Free attributes” of the articles (depending on the configuration).

If the material data manager is not available, a corresponding message will pop up and the respective report will be canceled. In any case, the check is done immediately at the start of the report, so that the time-consuming processes of selecting the data from the maps will not be initiated in case of an error.
