The arrows show where the information represented in the list are coming from.

The arrow going from the top left to the bottom right indicates that the information comes from a level above the one currently displayed. E.g. Assigned MFLs.

The arrow going from the bottom right to the top left indicates that the information comes from a level below the one currently displayed. E.g. parts lists.
|

The " = " means that the information comes directly from the currently selected structure node.
|
|
Furthermore, both the arrows and the " = " can be displayed at the same time – e.g. with the “Approved devices” in the project view. This means that the device has been approved not only on the current level, but also on those below or above.

Additionally to the approved devices in the selected structure element the devices in the subordinated structure elements are displayed:
