CAD interfaces

Standard workflow and general information on the CAD interface

▪The CAD interface allows the CAD programmes online access to the contents of the MDM data records for direct use in the device lists. Data records are assigned to the CAD icon via the function “Assign device“.
 

▪In the CAD cover sheet the material approval list (MFL) used or the respective MDM project is determined. By this you can see if non-approved articles have been used. It is always only one MDM project or one MFL that can be assigned to a CAD project.
 

▪The CAD interface is available to registered users only.
 

▪CAD records are always based on the current data from the database.
 

▪Even users without write permission may create and request new devices via an MDM workflow. If these devices have not yet been approved in the workflow by the manufacturer or the MFL manager, they will have the status “Temporary“.

With this status they can already be assigned in the CAD applications!        

Attention! “Temporary“ data records may be deleted from the pool data even after being assigned! As a consequence, the assignment will get lost in the CAD systems which leads to error messages!
